Hello, and welcome to a glimpse into my life at Sanctuary Acres. This is our home, so named because I want every being who comes here to feel safe and cared for. I want people to share in my journey of animal rescue, gardening, country life, and the day to day happenings. Thanks for stopping by.
I have five dogs and three cats. All from rescue groups or situations. We have fostered over 50 shelties in the years we have been here. Most went on to other homes. A few remained. I am involved in many dog activities: teaching classes/training, therapy dog work, and hiking with dogs.
I also spend many hours gardening, reading, and cooking. There is never a dull moment. Join me on the journey!

I don’t even know where to begin with this message. I was just overcome with emotion when I saw the picture of zeke on Facebook. I couldn’t believe it was him. It’s so good to see that he’s okay and taken care of!
I’d love to talk to you about him some more, I’m familiar with some of his history.
